About This Piece

Red Nude began with the idea of the figure stripped of everything unnecessary—not only clothing, but explanation. The body turns away and folds into itself, occupying a space that feels both protective and exposed. Red became more than the color of the figure. It carries warmth, tension, vulnerability, and strength at once, while the cooler blue surrounding it creates a sense of distance and quiet. Influenced in spirit by the idea of the Blue Nude, this work explores the figure through a different emotional temperature. The marks across the body interrupt its realism, allowing parts of it to dissolve into color, texture, and memory. The figure does not tell us what she is feeling. She simply holds it. In
